Zhongyi was a journalist in a game media. He once found himself so unsure about his career and quit office. "The world has already fucked up, why am I still writing reports about video games?" he said. Despite that, he still cannot put away the values he had been holding and went back to nonfiction writing. Three years ago, his work people who play games in Sanhe has made a hit. This report made Sanhe, a village in Shenzhen inhabited lots of temporary workers from all parts of the country, became a hot topic in Chinese media. We started the conversation from this article to other main characters Zhongyi has written. The stories of those "specific persons" led to our discussion on a writer's struggle in nonfiction writing about the sense of meaning, the judgment of writer's kindness, and his personal choice of sticking to nonfiction writing though painful.
